I'm getting ready to buy one for DS, but I need some ideas for the fabric. Show off here. :)

I got mine from Cathy @ www.sewcuteboutique.com. I bought the fabric & sent it to her. I still love & use it to this day. :D

I just ordered mine from Cathy too! She is so nice and will make one out of any fabric you send her. She helped me try to find a fabric, but in the end I just picked out one she already had (Bounding Blossoms on her Designer Boutique) So pretty, I can't wait to get it!

We wanted something gender neutral so we could use it for a 2nd child down the road (who might not be of the same gender). We chose a Chinese New Year themed fabric and had it sent to Cathy at sewcuteboutique. We love it!

Cute! I have the same thought- I want to be able to use it for baby #2. How much fabric did she need?

I believe it was a yard & a half. She can clarify that though if you use her. :)

Here is mine. I got some compliments on it today when I went to Target.

I got this from Cathy at sewcuteboutique too. I didn't see what I wanted (trains), but she had some fabrics that I hadn't seen on her site and she was really helpful about giving me options to work with. We get lots of compliments, too.

I also got Georgia's cart cover from Cathy at www.sewcuteboutique.com. I LOVE this cover. It's just so plush.

Cathy again.
I found the pattern, but she helped me order it.
We get sooo many compliments. I attach Anna Banana to it as a toy!

I don't own a shopping cart (lol) but here is a picture of the black silk fabric of my snazzy baby cover. The back is light pink chenille.

I don't use it much anymore (actually trying to sell it) to make room for a double cover that is more gender neutral.

I love all of them! :) One more question- did anyone order an extra pillow? DS is 4 months, and sits up well supported. Do you think it's worth it to do an extra pillow? I don't think it will be too much longer before he sits up on his own. He does great in his bumbo seat, and in his highchair (I put him in there while I do the dishes and stuff).

Here's ours, we got it from angelyn rose on ebay:

DD's 5 months and can sit well supported too (and for a few seconds unsupported, then she topples over!). Anyhow, the pillow is great. My DD is pretty petite and so I put my diaper bag on one side of her, and the pillow on the other side of her, and sometimes a receiving blanket folded up in front of her and she is really comfy. I just started using mine last week and it is so much easier than carrying her around or keeping her in her carseat! Mine came with a pillow, but it's worth it, DD likes to chew on it also and it's so cute! Everywhere I go, people comment on how great it is and how cute it is, ask where I got it, etc.

i have an extra pillow and think it is totally worthwhile we used both of them to make her fit better in the center of shopping carts and highchairs!
i ordered my fabric and had it sent my other pillow is just the polkadots. i wanted some contrast. looks like she ordered the fabric herself after mine!

as far as boy fabrics go there are some great western/horse/cowboy fabrics for reasonable prices at fabricattic.com

that would be the direction my house would go if we were looking for a boy one.
