So way back when, when I was convinced that all I needed was a giant space for a diaper bag (I had two in dipes), I purchased a Timbuk2 Medium Messenger. It was cool looking, huge, and offered very little interior organization. I thought I would be ok with that, since I had all these little cosmetic cases to help me stay organized.

Well, the lack of bottle holders drove me nuts and yes, I had little organizational bags, but even my bags were getting tossed around in this bottomless pit. So I saved the bag for big trips and thought, oh well.

A few weeks ago, I got a coupon for 20% off at REI outlet. I took the plunge and bought a small Timbuk2 messenger, thinking that I'll (hopefully) soon only have one in diapers and both kids are getting less dependent on snacks. This has turned out to be a good investment for me, I think! Here's what I could fit in (and where):
Main Compartment
-Chester cosmetics bag with 2 Epi Pens, bottle of Benedryl, medicine dropper, candy for PT incentives, bib for DS
-Wipes case (I use lots of wipes!)
-2 Snack Traps
-2 Glad snack cups
-Small Chester cosmetics bag with tiny toys
-2 disposable sippy cups - empty (just in case - I keep 2 bottles of water in the car)
Organizer compartment - outside:
-Fleurville wristlet
-plastic knife and spoon in pen holder area
-cell phone in cell phone holder
Organizer compartment - zippered area, inside:
-Diapees and Wipees with 2 dipes, disposable changing pad, plastic bags
-random stuff like mints, notepad, etc.
Pocket right under flap:
-small bottle of hand sanitizer

My kids are 3 years old and 22 months for reference. I like how the bag feels on me and at 5'2", I finally feel this messenger is in proportion to my size. All the components fit in nice and snug and there is plenty of room on top for an extra change of clothes for DD (in case of accidents). Enough room to find things, but snug enough so they don't jostle aronud.

Pics included...take the plunge if you need a toddler bag! :)
