Hi -
Is anyone using the Vera Bradley Carry-All bag as a toddler bag? Currently I'm using the Hanna Anderson kids messenger bag and I love it, but want something a little more adult. Has anyone had any experience with this? I like the outside pockets for my things, and the interior looks really room. Also it's very light weight. There are beautiful leather bags out now, but since I know I will still have many years of sippy cups and snacks I hate to move back to leather just yet. Thanks.

I have not personally carried this bag, but I have owned numerous purses and one or two of the older style diaper bags (big and toddler one). Vera Bradley is very popular here, holds up nicely and washes well. Not to expensive so it is still reasonable to change if you want a summer pattern or winter!!!
I can't comment on the new bags, since I don't own one, but I have looked at them many many times!!!

I just started using a carryall for my 8 month old. I love it, so far. I have been using it about two weeks. I keep my wallet and cell, keys in the outside pocket and have plenty of room for his stuff inside. It is light weight, I can wear it on my shoulder or messenger-style. I also don't think it is a dead give-away as a diaper bag, since Vera Bradley is so popular. So far this is the best bag we have tried. The pockets on the end are quite roomy - I actually had room to put my umbrella in there on one rainy day!

Hope that is helpful. I'm surprised more people aren't using these. Jenn

I was interested in the carry all but couldn't find it locally (and I wanted to see it in person to make sure it's what I wanted)so I bought the betsy and I LOVE it. I have a 6 month old but am a very light packer (2 diapers, wipes, a few toys, and my wallet and cellphone, that's all I usually have in there). Anyhow it is a great bag and I got the new picadilly plum print, it's so cute for fall!
On the betsy there is only one small outside pocket but there are 6 inside pockets plus the middle open section so I find that it is very well organized for me. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it and I like that it's not so large that when I go out alone (rarely...) it doesn't have that diaper bag "look" to it. VB is also pretty popular around here.

Could you pretty, pretty please post photos, of the exterior (when packed) and interior (packed & empty). PLEASE?!?

I'm thinking of getting one sight unseen off of ebay.

TIA!

Sorry for the confusion.

I would love to see pictures of your Betsy. Of course, if someone else has the CarryAll, I'd love to see photos of that too! ;)

TIA

Melissa

I just got the Vera Bradley Vera bag in Nantucket Navy and I love it! It is really roomy but still light weight. It has tons of inside pockets and two outside pockets. I had the fleurville ST but it just wasn't big enough.

Ok. I can't get the pictures to post here, I keep getting an error message. So, I uploaded them to photobucket. Just log on and see the different pics of my Carry All. Mine is the Apple Green pattern. I have pics of it inside and out. There is a bottle pocket on each side, big enough for a fatboy (aka Dr.Browns, wide mouth) or an umbrella. The inside has four equal-sized pockets big enough to hold a huggies wipes case. The outside back has a zip pocket that runs the length of the bag and the outside front has two slip pockets with a velcro flap. One of the front pockets has a key fob. I put a comparison photo of it next to a kecci so you can get an idea of how big it is. I'd say I'm a medium packer and it is really just perfect for me. FWIW, my son is 8 months old and breastfed.

Hope this is helpful:

I used to have the Betsy in Green Apple and loved it, I don't know why I got rid of it... maybe I'll have to get one of these :)

I have the Vera Bradley Baby Bag in all black and it is very roomy and lightweight.

My only complaint is that I must have funny shoulders because the tote keeps slipping off. I think it happens with all of my bags lol!

Ok, I figured out another way to post the pics here. But they are pretty big. I don't know how to make them small.

Here is the front:

Here is the front, with the velcro flap open:

Here is the back of the bag (monogrammed):

You're welcome. The wallet is Ellington. I can't remember the style. Could it be athena or stella? I love it.

For ordering Vera online, quiltsunlimited.com has a huge selection, plus free shipping for orders over $75. They even have a lot of stock of my favorite retired color, Seaport Navy. ;-)
