I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a shopping cart cover. I've seen the "floppy seat" and it looks cool but it is twice as much as BRU's basic style cover. I'm wondering if the extra price is worth it. Does anyone have experience with these things? A recommendation of a different one? I will need one soon for DD who just switched to her convertible seat. She sits up well and is fairly large but is only 6 mos. so i'm not sure if these are even an option yet. TIA!

There are a ton of different ones you can buy from various WAHMs or commercial companies. www.sewcuteboutique.com is very popular among the moms here, but there are many others to choose from.

If you search through teh archives you'll find a lot of posts about shopping cart covers. Here's the link to my review of the one I bought recently:

I've seen 2 cute ones at Target for $20. I haven't tried one yet, but will need one before too long.

One thing to be aware of with respects to the ones at Target... not all of them cover the entire seat area. For example the one by Infantimo leaves the sides of the cart completely exposed. In fact I was in Trader Joe's a few weeks ago and a mother had one of those and was admiring mine because of the full coverage.

It's just something to keep in mind.

I got mine from angelyn rose on ebay, she has a website angelynrose.com and I have been so happy with it! I get tons of comments and compliments on it every time I use it (which is daily!). It fits on carts and also on high chairs. I could not live without it!! It also has a pillow which I use for my learning-to-sit DD to make her more secure in the giant cart.

I had one of the cheaper ones, I think the Infantino. What one of the PP said is true, it doesn't cover the sides of the cart. What I did like, about it, though, is that it worked very well in restaurant high chairs. It also closed up the large leg openings on the grocery store carts, though they may all do that.

DS switched to his convertible seat around 5 mo, and I think I started using the shopping cart cover with him by 6 mo. As long as your DD can sit up well enough to remain seated while the cart moves, you should be fine.

Does anyone know where to find Kangadoodle? The link in the other post does not work and I tried a google search with no success.

DS is going into a convertible now (at 4 months) so we will need this as soon as he is steady enough to sit up in the seat.

thanks!
