View Full Version : Diaper bag as laptop bag? What about a laptop sleeve?

I'm considering getting a Skiphop Dash to use as my everyday bag for work and diaper bag for weekends. I typically bring a laptop, coffee cup, water bottle, snacks, and files to work but I want to fit my small purse in there so I only have one bag to lug. I haven't seen a Dash IRL yet. Think it'll work?

Also where would I get some sort of sleeve to cushion and protect the laptop in the bag?

It would depend on the size laptop you want to put in there. I think the files, computer and some snacks would fit in there, but not sure that a small purse on top of all that would.

Whether the Dash would work depends on how big your laptop is. It wouldn't hold mine, but DH's would probably fit easily. Below are some links to laptop sleeves, since they can be tough to find locally. I have a hard-bodied Case Logic one that doesn't offer as much protection as a typical laptop bag, IMO. I got a cheaper one, though, since I only use it on those rare occasions when I can't drag a separate laptop bag. I'm sure some of the others are as well padded as a laptop bag. Good luck!

Chelsey Henry also makes great bags for what you are talking about. I use the weekender all the time (for exactly what you are talking about) and they have matching laptop sleeve too.
