Small tote for toddler?

I've been searching for days on here and on the net. I need just a small tote for the church nursery for my DD. I want something to hold a couple of diapers and a sippy cup. I like the tote style, simple, maybe one pocket, maybe even one that is vinyl (not a must, just a plus). Any suggestions on where to look, or where I can get one custom made?

I have this one, but haven't actually used it as it's too small for me right now...at that price I couldn't pass it up. It sounds perfect for your needs. If you have any specific questions about it just ask. I posted a review of it a while back when I bought it; I'll go look for the link for you.

I don't know if the sizes would work for you, but both LL Bean and Lands End offer virtually indestructible small totes. Here are the measurements.

LL Bean
Small 10½"H x 9½"W x 5"D. Regular handles 5", Long 14"
Mini 7"H x 7½"W x 5"D
(Original and Zip-Top Boat and Tote come in small, other styles seem to offer the mini.)


Lands End
Small: 8 1/2"Wx9"Hx5 1/2"D

Have you checked Ebay? A lot of the bag sellers on there offer smaller sizes.

Price isn't so much of an issue. I have the Lands End LT and it is great for routine outings, errands, etc. I just need something very basic and simple to leave with her in the nursery for diapers and juice. I keep the other essentials with me in my bag. I kind of was hoping for something pretty and a little girly, and like I said, price isn't an issue if I love it.

I'd look for a boutique diaper bag on ebay, they come in all sorts of adorable prints and you can often get them personalize!
Alternatively, how about a timi and leslie small bebe bag? They are vinyl covered and have a bottle holder inside. On sale for $53.90 at nordstrom!

It's actually more pink than it looks in the photo. It's a beautiful bag, and just the perfect size for toddler stuff IMO. I couldn't be more pleased, and what a great deal!

Have you looked at clusterbags.com. She will make whatever style you want with whatever fabrics. She has a huge selection.

I've been thinkin about their piggyback satchel because I have a newborn, but the totes are really cute. I did a search for them on this board, and found alot of good feedback from awhile back.

Thanks for all the feedback. It's nice to have some options. I've been on ebay a lot. I found a seller with some really cute custom made bags at VERY reasonable prices. I've emailed her to see if she had something like one she has listed, only smaller. She said she did, and she's either going to list it or email me a picture. Has anyone heard of The Preppy Peach Boutique or bought anything from her?

I just got the Petunia Pickle Bottom Toddler Tote. It's really cute and the perfect size for quick trips or like you mentioned to leave at Day Care. I paid $115 at Nordstrom but it's worth it because really it looks like a purse and I don't mind using it even when DD isn't with me.
