I need one for a trip we are taking next month. It will probably only be used a few times, and then we will go back to our normal bag.

I was thinking Lands End, but wasn't sure if there was a better choice on the market.

I need multiple compartments, and it needs to be good sized for me to pack toys, snacks and a few diapers in it.]

Thanks!

We have the Lands End bag. I bought it for my husband. We love it. It is not so big, but well organized so that it carries a lot. It has three decending compartment all of which have bottle pockets and one small personal items compartment. We also like that since the interior is light blue it is not the black hole that many other diaper bags are. The only thing it lacks is chest and hip straps which are useful for longer hikes. Also, the price can't be beat.

If you want a "fashionable" backpack diaper bag check out the Loom Bandicoot. It is a backpack with an detachable "joey" pouch that serves as a purse for mom. The straps even detach so you can hang it over the handle of your stroller. Also, they come in the cutest color combinations!

We use the Baby Sherpa and LOVE it. Lots of convenient compartments and very comfortable to wear. There are two sizes: the original and the smaller Shorthaul:

Ebags.com has some really nice pictures of both bags too:

Just type in Baby Sherpa in their search window and it'll direct you to both bags.

Good luck in your search.

We used the Safeline Kids Skyline backpack for a long time, before we were ready to downsize to a smaller bag.

ebags.com has it for a great price, and you can see what it looks like and what the features are.

There are also 200 reviews of it, so you can see what other people have said about it.

The things I liked were:
- a detachable mommy-compartment that can be used as a purse (although it makes an ugly purse, it's nice to be able to separate all of your stuff so easily)
- an outside cell-phone pocket
- another small outside pocket, which we used to keep pacifiers readily available

Check out the link to see a few different pictures and to read the reviews. It was a great backpack, and very reasonably priced!

Hope this helps!
