I'm looking for a work bag, like the Jack Georges 3-way zip tote

http://www.luggageonline.com/product.cfm?product_ID=1581

I saw this at TJ Maxx a couple months ago in a beautiful brown but didn't get it because it wouldn't hold my laptop. I totally should have gotten it! Well now I think padding is important for my laptop, so I plan to carry it in the padded bag, and would like something like the JG (or similar quality) for my other non-computer work things (PDA, files, keys, pens, all in one place).

Is there anywhere you would recommend that I look for a deal? (Other than TJ Maxx?) I know from reading on this board that many of you love bags in general and diaper bags are merely an extension of your love of bags.

Thanks, Nupe

What about one of the new chelsey henry Work To Play bags... It is similar looking to that bag but is not leather and has exterior pockets. They also have a laptop bag which is the secon picture. I got these pictures from amazon.com

Thanks for the suggestion! I had seen that someone posted about this bag from overstock. I do like the top bag--feminine, nice lines, and the walnut is a nice color.

I ended up with a Lodis bag that surprisingly accomodates my laptop and is leather.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in the first bag I liked, the Jack Georges 3 way tote--I saw it today at Tuesday Morning for $130ish in light blue, light pink, and kelly green. Too bad no more brown!

Thanks, Nupe

I had to return the Lodis--way too floppy even loaded with a laptop.

Looked at all the boutique/luggage stores around me for leather bags, and not much for laptops. Levenger and Ellingtonleather.com had some neat styles and I was strongly considering one of those bags.

But, I got the Tumi laptop bag (that looks like a briefcase) even though I don't think the quality is usually worth the price, and the styling is very manly. Functional though, and on sale.

Today, I found www.kolobags.com. Love this one: http://www.kolobags.com/product.php?productid=338&cat=15&page=10

But I already got my Tumi!!

Just thought I would post this in case anyone else is looking for a stylish work/laptop bag and maybe has a bigger budget than I did.

This is the bag I ordered from ebags ... I'll let you know how I like it! But it got very good reviews and looks big enough to hold your laptop and cords AND extras.

I love the color! It sounds like there is a separate cushioned laptop compartment--that is great. My laptop was recently injured in transit(not sure how) so I made sure I got a cushioned compartment for it. Nupe
