Hi,

You all have been so helpful in the past so here it goes. I need a playground bag. A really small bag that will hold a wallet, keys and cell phone (and little else). I want something that I can sling across (shoulder to opposite hip) although something that can be attached to a belt would also be nice. The ultimate would be a bag with a detachable strap that can do both. Any ideas? I know Sahalie has one, but I don't like the belt buckle and $100 is a little too steep.

Now that the weather is getting nice and I no longer have jacket pockets I'm at a loss as to what to do with my "stuff".

TIA.............

how about the wallet bagg from baggalini? You can find them on ebags. Another more diaper-ish bag would be the silver line swagg. It can be worn across the chest and also as a backpack. It's a bit bigger than the wallet bagg, but it also has space for a sippy cup and a few other small items.

Hi Margaret,

The Swagg is much too big, but the baggalini brand had some real possibilites. I'm hoping for something with a Maximum size of about 7X7X2.

Thanks for responding.

Sierra Trading Post carries the small euro totes...I don't know if they have removable straps to wear messenger-style, but they do have a belt clip...

I think Vera Bradley has a small wallet type bag with a clip that you might be able to clip onto your belt - might want to check out her line. The small bags are fairly inexpensive.

This is probably smaller than you are looking for but I have a Fluerville wristlet thing. I can fit my keys, cell phone, and cards/cash in it. I love it when I go to the grocery store by myself b/c the wrist strap unhooks and I can hook it onto the cart instead of setting it in the basket. Anyway, you can easily carry it on your wrist or hook it through your belt loop. Of course when I go to the playground I only carry keys and I just hook them to my belt loop.

I don't know how small you are wanting, but what about the T2 Metro Mini or the LE LT? Both of those work well worn messenger style.

ETA: What about a Dakine backpack? I have one, can't remember the name, but it is small and lightweight. Would work well for that use.

WOW, I have a Fleurville wristlet that I totally LOVE, but there is NO way I can fit my cell phone, or keys into it...I can only fit cards into it with a small thing of mints (tic tac size) & a chapstick.

I'm on the same search...but I'm looking for something just a tad bit bigger than my Fleurville wristlet.

Hi Melissa,

I have the LE LT, but it's definitely too big (my husband uses it as his diaper bag). The Mini Metro is a great bag, but also too big (although I'm considering it for when my DC is older). Essentially I'm looking for a jacket pocket when I'm not wearing a jacket.

The backpack is also a possibility...

Thank you for the help.

Take a look at travelsmith.com; they have some small travel bags that might work. Here's one that measures 9x7x2 (so pretty close to the size you are thinking about:

What about a mini diaper dude? I don't have one and realize that it's probably more masculine than what you're wanting and larger, but an advantage is that you could also hold a water bottle in it for you and a sippy cup for your child (two things that I always want with me at the playground).

I just went through a very similar search and ultimately found a FANTASTIC little bag at REI for about $15. It is made by Eagle Creek ( see link below). It holds my small billfold, cell phone, Palm, car keys, hand sanitizier, and pacifier with room to spare. It has a long, adjustable shoulder strap that is designed to easily tuck into a zipper pocket when not in use. I usually wear mine "messenger style" but you can also wear it on one shoulder or attach it to your belt. I highly recommend this bag!

Hi Cathy,

That's exactly what I am looking for. Thank you so much. I'm going to order it today! If it will hold a Palm and a phone with a little room to spare it will be perfect!

Wow, that looks like a great bag -- more for me when I'm out alone as I tend to take a bit more for DD when we go out. I just ordered one. Thanks!

FWIW, this site has a photo of the interior: http://www.letravelstore.com/ET40327.htm

I can. I take the house keys off and only put my car keys in it and my cell phone is pretty small. I don't have a problem at all. Fits fine! :)

I use the "Placer" bag from Overland Equipment as a small errand purse:

http://www.overlandequipment.com/

Right now they have a 20% off deal through their website until the end of April.

OE's bags are very well made and comfy to wear. I also have the "Donner" that I use as a toddler bag. :)
