Just wanted to share this site...I recently got a diaper bag from them and LOVE it! These bags are made by two military wives living here in Okinawa (although one now lives in Italy). The bags (both handbags and diaperbags) are made from kimono and asian fabrics and are stunning. I get compliments on mine all of the time. There are tons of pockets and a nice magnetic clasp (not noisy velcro!).I am not really a bag person, but these bags are truly unique and gorgeous! Here is the site:

How pretty! Can you tell me how many pockets are inside? Does it have any bottle pockets inside the bag too? Thanks.

Also what are the dimensions of the bag? Doesn't say on the website.

I love brocades!! But I certainly wish they had more info like dimensions, as well as interior photos of their bags on their websites. Although I'm sure the fabrics are rich and luxurious, just from their simple exterior photo of their messenger bag, I'm not quite sold to spend $150 on it yet.

I will try to post a few photos later this weekend. The bag has 4 bottle size pockets and two larger pockets surrounding the inside which is lined with a striped fabric (so no dark hole inside). There is also a key holder clip and a smaller bag and diaper pad (although not a very padded one). The exterior has two side pockets and one large pocket along the back side. The bag is perfect for me at this stage with my daughter...we use cloth diapers and there is plenty of space for the dipes, a bottle, toys, snacks for my three year old, mom stuff and anything else I might need while out (even for a whole day).

In addition to being such a functional diaper bag, I love that I will be able to use it long after my daughter is no longer in diapers. I also have one of their hand bags and love it...beautiful fabrics and truly a unique piece of Japan. Hope this helps and I will try to post photos soon.

Ah, good to know dimensions, that's great!

Lucia - How is the floppiness factor? Would you say it's about the same as similiar brocade type bags like a PPB or OCC?

Joey - Hi there lady! :)

Suz
(I don't know why I'm asking - I sooooo don't need another bag! LOL!)

Hi Suz,
I can't really compare to another bag because I haven't seen them (PPB or OCC) in real life (we've lived overseas for quite awhile!). Where are you in the States? I think there might be a couple of places where you could see a Go-yen bag in person. I am working on trying to post photos of my bag and a friend's bag made with different fabric...but I have never posted a photo before.

We are near Seattle, WA - I'd love to find out if there was a place near here to see these IRL.

Joey,
So glad you like your bag! I love the one you got...my friend has the same bag and it is great because it goes with so many things and is great for running quick errands or doing just mommy things! I have one of the handbags with the bamboo handles which I love, but I am starting to think about getting one with the cloth straps for more everyday use.

I finally have some photos of my diaper bag that I will try to post. It is nice to see their little company starting to become known in the States...the bags are very popular here in Japan.

I am having some trouble posting photos of my bag. I think the images/attachments are too big...any suggestions on how to make them work?
