Removing grease stains from leather bag

Ugh! I think my brand new leather bag is ruined! There's a huge grease stain on the side of my purse from some french fries my DD stuck into one of the side pockets. Not sure how I can clean this stain. The purse is a light tan color so it really shows!Anyone have any advice? Thanks!!!

Coach sells a "Leather Cleaning and Care Set" that should help, depending on the type/quality of leather. It might not take it out but it may lighten it enough. I also have a tube of stuff from Bally that works well, too.

It's funny you're posting this because I just bought a leather baby bag from Coach today and I was thinking about the french fry factor and regretting my $$$ purchase... Maybe I should just return it and stick to something more child friendly!
