My nephew just turned 3 and, along with some wooden puzzles, I sent A
Mother for Choco and I Love You Like Crazycakes. I thought my brother and
SIL might like the books to talk about adoption with my nephew and my niece
(age 6).

So my SIL e-mailed me that the books were a hit, especially with my niece.
My niece took them to school to share and the teacher read them at story time.
The teacher told my niece that I Love You Like Crazycakes brought tears to
her eyes.

Yea! Isn't it great when something works out even better than you had
hoped? Thanks for letting me share my happy little story!

Catherine,

That's so great. What a great idea also to send those to your niece/nephew. I've been wondering how to explain the new cousin to all the assorted nieces and nephews.

We've been recording stories and songs to send to Lily's foster mom to play for her. I'm practically crying as I'm reading them all just imagining reading them to her one day. The Crazycakes one is so perfect for your adoption, of course!!

Great idea, Catherine!

I still can't get through Crazy Cakes with Mia without crying and when she sits down to "read" it herself, she'll start sniffling. Drama Queen :D

Enjoying all of those late July and August referrals on APC!!
