View Full Version : Realization that our set-up is all wrong for baby sleep!

I have had a realization, but I don't know what to do about it. We live in a one-bedroom apartment (hopefully not for much longer, maybe 6 more months max). The crib is obviously in our bedroom. As long as I've known my DH, we've always had a TV in the bedroom and he always falls asleep watching TV. I don't know if he is capable of falling asleep sans TV.

Dh is not here this evening (meeting) and I have gotten DS to sleep in his crib by a reasonable hour (9pm). No TV, no noise and mostly dark (he cried so I turned one light on and then he fell asleep). Usually he co-sleeps, which means he won't go to sleep until one of us takes him to bed.

I think we are doomed to fail with this set-up, because I know DH is not willing to change. Does anyone have a similar set-up, or have this problem in the past?
