Is there a no cry sleep solution for getting your baby to go to sleep initially? I've read Pantleys but it seems that mainly talks about getting your baby to learn how to go back to sleep on his own. I follow Pantleys advice in the middle of the night. Henry wakes up, I make sure he's really awake, nurse him, he pulls off before he's asleep, rolls over & tries to go to sleep. He can't always right away & then he goes for the breast again.

But to get him asleep for the first time at night is the challenge. He starts out in the Amby Baby Hammock. I nurse him in the glider, he pulls off before he's asleep. then I put him in the hammock & have to bounce the hammock till he's asleep.

Is there a way to teach him to fall asleep with out using the Ferber method?

YES!! Read The Secrets of The Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg. It is a nurturing, gentle way to help your baby learn to sooth themself. It will change your life for the better!
