We've had a couple of recommendations for the book "The Happies Baby on the Block" by Dr. Karp. I see that is comes in book form or on DVD. Does the DVD have the same information as the book? Does anyone recommend one over the other? It seems like my husband and I are more likely to watch a DVD before the baby arrives (5 weeks) than both read a book, but I don't want to miss anything.

TIA,

Jen

Edited bc I thought I was in the Toddler forum...

I read the book; I did not know a DVD existed until today when I asked about Happiest Toddler on the Block. I think the book was good enough but I might lean towards the dvd if you find visualization to be more helpful. But as I recall, the Baby version was more about major things you can do like using a swing, shushing, etc. so I don't think you really have ot have a DVD to know how to do those things. You may want to check over in the Baby forums. It gets more traffic and is more focused on babies.

HTH.
