View Full Version : The only consistent part of his sleep is...that it changes

I really have nothing to complain about. I'm just musing. DS seems to get into a pattern. We've been logging his sleep and feed times for a couple months now. He just turned 14 weeks. The pattern will show for 3 or 4 days and then WHAM. It changes a little. I suppose the most consistent thing is when he goes to bed and approximately when he wakes up, so that's not bad. DS sometimes surprises us by sleeping 7 hours but then reverts back to 4 hours. One night we thought he had died because he went 9 hours!

sometimes I wish DS could read so he could read what the sleep experts say and do what he's "supposed" to do. But I guess he IS doing what he's supposed to be doing, which is being a baby!

Ho hum...DH is playing tennis tonight. Sitting at home twiddling my fingers...

sounds normal to me. As far as babies go, what I can tell is there is no "supposed to". They all do something different and then even that isn't consistent. But neither is my sleep. :)
