I have a rather odd request. Does anyone know of a way to fasten a pencil to a string (like the Magna Doodle stylus). I mean a permanent way, not the taped up way you see at the DMV to keep their pens from walking away. I need something small and unobtrusive.

I was thinking of something that I could crimp or glue on (a jewelry finding?) Everywhere I look online there are holder that permanently attach to something (clipboard, refrigerator, and yes, hardhat) that temporarily hold the pencil. I'm thinking the other way around - something that permantly attaches to the pencil preferably with a loop on the end.

How about this? http://www.pencilleash.com/ I remembered a mention of it in the Baby Bargains Lounge.

Hey, thanks a million! This is pretty much what I want, I'm going to email them right now and ask a few questions...
