1.) they will honor their own (BRU; and i think TRU) coupons for an additional 30 days after the printed expiration date (just need a supervisor to do the register override at checkout)
2.) they have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, if you use something and don't like it they take it back. (guy who helped me by opening 2 booster seats so i could compare them examined my selection at the checkout and told me to bring it back if i didn't like it -- wow)
3.) and -- they replace broken stuff (!) they handed me a replacement pack of stroller swivl'rs for my snapped ones no problem.

this was all news to me! who are these delightfully helpful people, and what have they done with the grumpy indifferent staff that messed up my registry for weeks, lost my mattress with a 'tough luck, lady', and actually hung up on one of my gift givers???

we had a good day there today... they 'stacked' the coupons from that big sale mailer (they were supposed to end 10/19) and we saved around $50 ($130 down to $80!)

Phewey! This didn't work for me! I had to return my Snugride during the recall that I received as a shower gift. Just then a $10 off coupon for a carseat was circulating. It expired before new seats were on the shelves. The shelves were restocked a week after the coupon expired and they would not give me the $10 discount, even though they didn't have any snugrides when the coupon was valid!

I'm glad that you had good luck at your BRU!

have no fear, i've not gone corporate. i loathe BRU. i was there returning useless gifts and picking up the mundane... stroller swivl'rs, superyard XT (though i have misgivings about it... it looks so "baby cage"), and i'm going to sell the remaining BRU giftcard for cash so i never have to go there again. (though seeing the Quinny strollers in person was cool.)

I got a ton of useless gifts, but I love our super yard XT. It's great for the Christmas tree! I can keep my 110-120 lb doggies away from my precious ornaments! I might start using it for DD if crawling gets out of control, but we'll see:).

i didn't have the receipt for the swivl'rs -- i just gave her the pieces.

the most recent batch of coupons from the baby sale ended 10/19 but they said they'd honor them... i still have a tattered flyer with what i didn't use. there is a 'save $10 on any carseat over $60" code 908887. there was also a 'save 15% on any one item" but i used that one and don't have the code.
