There's a $3 off Kirkland wipes coupon in the little booklet they just sent. I have heard these wipes are supposed to be good, and I'll be getting some, even though my baby isn't due until April :)

My SIL insisted we try Huggies wipes and we HATE them. We love the Kirkland ones. They are not as thick as the others, but they pop up better without a fight, if that make sense. We load them in the wipes warmer and they work great. I don't know why I listend to her and tried other brands first. We buy formula (Kirkland brand), diapers (Huggies) and wipes at Costco. My only complaint is they sold 1-2 diapers, when we really needed a straight size 2.

I'll be heading to costco next week to get the wipes too. My baby's not due till april either, but I heard they were good wipes. I'm always up for a deal!

I started out using the Huggies newborn wipes, because I liked how soft they were, and I liked that they were unscented...

Now I use the Kirkland wipes, and I love them! They're just as soft (although not quite as thick) and they're unscented, so I don't have to worry about irritating DD's skin.

We've used several different types of wipes and I love the Kirkland ones. We ("we" being me and DS's little naked butt) found the Huggies to be way too thick and rough, so I like the fact that the Kirkland's are much thinner and softer. And, you can buy a huge box that lasts a long time. I tend to be a name-brand type of person, mostly because I don't have the patience or time to seek out good, generic or off-brand substitutes, but the Kirkland wipes rock!

I LOVE the Kirkland wipes. And we have tried EVERYTHING...they are super soft and don't irritate her little bottom! :)

I just joined costco this weekend in anticipation of our new arrival (due 2/20/04!) and I am SO EXCITED about the savings! My dh thinks I have lost it. :)

So anyways, since I just joined, will I be getting one of these coupojn books in the mail? Or can I find one somewhere else? TIA!

If you don't receive the booklet in the mail, you can probably get one from the Customer Service desk. Also, I forgot my coupon for something once before, and the cashier had one she scanned for me.

SCORE!!! I mentioned the coupon to the cashier, even though I didn't have one, and voila, a magical $3 off!

I'm a huge fan of the costco wipes - they are great for travel or when they are half full I keep them in my diaper bag. I used to use my travel size huggies wipe case and refilled them everytime before we went out. These are so much easier and I never run out!

I went to customer service and they gave me extra booklets!

I love Kirkland wipes too... but my only complaint is that I find it hard to pull just one wipe with one hand... I end up getting 2 or 3 before they separate.
I even started putting the wipes into a refillable huggies dispenser and that only helped a little.

There was a discussion a while back and I don't think the Kirkland diapers are made by Pampers. I think they're more similar to Huggies diapers?

I've been using the wipes for three years (went through the wipe change about a year ago, even!) and I still love them...for the portability, softness, etc..., plus I love Costco, period!!!! :)

I have been using Kirkland wipes for 2 years and 7 months now :-)
Tried others at the beginning, but then liked Kirklands, and never went to anything else (unless overseas).

I think I must be the only person who doesn't like the Kirkland wipes! I used them and hated that the last 15 wipes were sitting in a pool of liquid. I always had to wring them out before using them, Plus, they tore all the time. I much prefer the Huggies wipes. Funny!

I am with you too... I liked the Kirkland wipes a lot until I tried the ones from BJ's. They are unscented and come in a similar package, but I can pull them out one at a time. We just finished a case of the Kirkland wipes, and I am so relieved - I am not buying them again.

I store wipes upside down until I open the package. I've never had a pool of liquid at the end of a package. Maybe try that.

I love the Kirkland wipes too. I put mine in a Pampers pop-top dispenser and it works great. I completely rip off the plastic piece on the Kirkland dispenser.
The Huggies dispenser that I have does not have the pop-top attachment - you have to open the whole thing (does that make sense?). Try the Pampers dispenser maybe?

In case you are interested...here is a recipe for homemade wipes (use them at home and save the expensive ones for the diaper bag/road).

Baby Wipes (Homemade)

½ roll White Bounty Paper Towels

1 ½ cups warm water

2T Baby Oil

2T Baby Wash

Mix ingredients together. Place ½ roll in a plastic container (with a lid) and pour mixture over paper towels. Let sit 1 hour prior to using. NOTE: Cut roll of paper towel with a NON serrated knife.

Has anyone compared Pampers Sensitive Skin wipes to Kirkland?

My kids must have sensitive behinds because I only have used the Pampers sensitive ones. I used Huggies once at my sister's house and they both turned bright red!

I think my dd is "allergic" to huggies wipes, too! Her booty turns red when I use Huggies wipes. Hmmmmmmmm. Maybe the chemicals are too harsh??????

Personally, I think Costco wipes "clean" better than Pampers Sensitive----I don't mean to offend, though, or step on any toes here!

Drop by for a cup of coffee and I'll give you a pack of Kirklands to try out! :)

I'm with you! I tried the Kirkland wipes at my BIL/SIL's house and didn't care for them. The Huggies Natural Care wipes are nice and thick and don't irritate my boys bottoms!
