I was looking forward to this but it looks like I'm out of luck. Nothing in size 3 is eligible. Looks like they are selling out the smaller boxes for $33.73 and the larger boxes for $37.87 aren't eligible for the promotion.

Last time I ordered one box of size 3 and two boxes of size 4 in the Pampers Cruisers. The size 3 were back-ordered for weeks! By the time I ran out of my size 3 at home, I started to use the size 4 diapers. I called up Amazon and worked with them on the phone to cancel the size 3 box on back order and replace with the size 4. (They had to merge orders and I think they made sure my shipping was still free).

I was still eligible to get the $30 certificate off a future purchase.

I was hoping to order more in the larger size! Now I need to figure out the next place to buy Pampers cheap!

shancam,

Thanks for posting the Amazon Pampers deal.
I've done the math [Again] and the Amazon Pampers deal is not as good as last time. I'll use Pampers Cruisers Size 3 as an example. Two factors have changed. The price per diaper has gone up (from .16 cents to .17 cents per diaper) and the number of diapers per box has gone up (from 148 diapers in the box to 160 diapers in the box). So you will be paying more for the diapers (+.01). You will also be spending a greater amount of money to get the $30 discount ($12.42) because of the higher diaper count in the new boxes.

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f198/yatri25/511dac7e.jpg

The bottom line after subtracting the value of the extra diapers: The deal will cost you $6.44 more a 6.36% increase. Is it still a good Deal? Yes. Is it the best deal? Only if TRU/BRU and others raise their prices too. I believe a good sale+coupon at TRU/BRU can beat the Amazon deal.
Incidentally, BJ’s has been getting new boxes in with more diapers per box and higher prices too. (BJ’s has the best deal for pampers wipes right now.)

Am I going to take the new Amazon deal? Yes. But next time, maybe not.

Yes. But next time, maybe not.

You will also be spending a greater amount of money to get the $30 discount ($12.42) because of the higher diaper count in the new boxes.

i hadn't done the "complete math" but it didn't seem as good...so i was debating what to do with my $30 credit from last time.

Currently i need size 2 and size 5 pampers, what do you think?

shancam, that’s a great question. And the short answer is yes! If you did any Amazon deal and have one of those $30 coupons to use in this deal, then the Amazon Pampers deal is compelling. The reason is that it will only cost you $83.61 to qualify for the new $30 discount.

http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f198/yatri25/d31da13d.jpg

** Remember, the first $30 coupon that you are using in the deal should not be thought of as reducing the price of this deal, because it was considered to have already reduced your previous Amazon Pampers deal.

The prices are still competitive so I'll be doing the deal this time too.

secchick,

At the start of June (and the start of Amazon's current Pampers $30 deal) it looked to me like almost nothing was eligible for the sale. However, now EVERYTHING, all diaper sizes and wipes plus more stuff is listed as eligible and in stock for the sale.

If you see my spreadsheet posts you'll notice that Pampers has new packaging for their diapers and wipes. So, the price and diaper quantity are now different. My guess is that the inventory for the Pampers sale at Amazon.com was late due to the new packaging.

Anyway, you can buy your size 3 diapers: either
Pampers Baby-Dry Diapers, Size 3, Economy Plus Pack, 180 Diapers $35.84 or
Pampers Cruisers, Size 3, Economy Plus Pack, 160 Cruisers $37.87

Thanks for all of your posts and the chart. I checked a day or two ago and the selection was stilll very limited. It's great to know that I will be able to get my size 3s after all. :)

Thanks so much for the work on the chart. You save a lot of people from having to run the same calculation!

Well, Amazon quickly shipped our 3 Pampers boxes. The new packaging and price are the only changes that I’ve noticed. The diapers appear the same as before. So we are now stocked up for the summer.

Thanks again for posting the heads-up on the Amazon Pampers deal. BTW, this Pampers deal seems to reoccur every 2-3 months. Faster than it takes to use up the diapers ;)

JnB, or anyone else with an answer (!)....

I have ordered Pampers through Amazon a couple of times and when I last ordered, I was *sure* I had qualified for another "$30 off a future purchase". I never received a code so now I am wondering if I might have made an error.

My last order was placed in early March and I used a $20 promotional coupon. Because I save all pertinent email, I even have the original "special offer" saying that with my order, I would qualify for a $30 off promotional coupon for a future purchase. **I never received it** and now that I need to order diapers again, I don't know what to do.

Anyone??

Thank you,

Stephanie

Same with me, Stephanie, so I emailed Amazon and sure enough, they had "forgotten" on their end and gave me a link right away for the promotion. Do the same and I'm sure you'll have the same result!!!!!

Good luck,

Do I just email through the website? It's odd not being able to "call" customer service!

Thanks again, Toni!

Yes....just email their website (go to "Where's my stuff and jump through all the hoops until you can finally email them and explain your situation----you'll get an email response within 24 hours), and if you do want to call them, their number is 800-201-7575. Hope that helps!

Sorry, one more quick question. I am spending over $99 by buying three boxes of Pampers. It doesn't "count against me" that I am applying a $30 promotional certificate from a few months ago, does it?

I just want to be sure, otherwise I'll order another box!

Thank you!

Mamma2004,

Rule #2. states: Add eligible Pampers, Luvs, and Kandoo products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your Shopping Cart until the total amount before taxes, gift-wrap, shipping, and other promotions is $99 or more.

So all you have to do is get your cart above $99 and you qualify for the $30s off coupon. It doesn't matter how you pay for the order, so using a $30 coupon from another order is OK.

Enjoy,
JnB

Mamma2004,

Rule #2. states: Add eligible Pampers, Luvs, and Kandoo products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your Shopping Cart until the total amount before taxes, gift-wrap, shipping, and other promotions is $99 or more.

So all you have to do is get your cart above $99 and you qualify for the $30s off coupon. It doesn't matter how you pay for the order, so using a $30 coupon from another order is OK.

Enjoy,

The Amazon Pampers sale time frame and the time frame to use a $30 off coupon do not match up perfectly. For example, the current Amazon Pampers deal says, “All purchases must be made in a single order placed between June 1 and June 30, 2006. The coupon (emailed to me on the 23 of May 2006) that I have from a previous Amazon Pampers deal expires on June 28th, 2006 (2 days before the end of the month).

You may want to order during the last few days of the sale, at the end of the month, because you haven’t finished using up the diapers from the last sale and you don’t need 3 large boxes filling up you home. If you have a coupon and plan on using it, keep in mind that the coupon usually EXPIRES BEFORE the end of the sale. I wonder how many people will loose their coupon because they waited to order during the last 2 days of the sale.

The $30 coupon you will receive for participating in the current Amazon Pampers sale will expire on September 24, 2006. That’s six days before the end of September (Sept. 30th). Assuming the pattern will continue and Amazon will have a Pampers sale in September (1st to the 30th), that sale will essentially end a week early for anyone wanting to use a $30 off coupon. Why has Amazon made the coupon expire even earlier (from 2 days early to 6 days early)? I wonder if the amount of people that will loose their coupon will increase because Amazon has made the coupon expire earlier.

Is Amazon sneaky or sloppy? Caveat Emptor. (Latin for “Buyer Beware)
