Okay, maybe something has changed (I really hope so) but when we had this toy, there was no off button. We bought it from a garage sale when I was pg and ours was quite loud too and liable to go off at the smallest touch. We checked it at our TRU a year back and even the new one had no off button.
Just a heads up - though, it may not bother you as much as it bothered us.
