I just got back from Home Depot and they had the 2pk with key on clearance for 10.37 (was 12.99). I was able to use it with the 10% off Lowes coupon for an extra savings.

Edited: I double checked my receipt after posting and discovered that they actually charged me 3.89!!

THANK YOU so much for posting this. I just popped in my local HD and bought 6 packs for $24!!!! I was dreading spending so much money to buy them at full price (cause money is tight right now) but this was way too good to pass up! THANKS!!

Thank you for posting this! I had to drive to several Bay Area Home Depots, but I finally found a store with a ton of them in stock.

Thanks again! DS is going to be mobile in the next several months, and we saved a bundle with your tip.

ETA- just kidding. I just clicked on the link again & it worked. Guess I was doing something wrong.

Haven't gotten over there yet, so I hope I still get the sale.
I can't get the Lowe's coupon to work- can it be expired?

I'm embarassed to ask, but how do these things work? Has anyone used them yet? This is the first I've ever heard of them & they look interesting.

They are great! They can't be opened without the key, and even with they key you have to put it in the right spot to open it, so a child with a key usually can't open. My favorite feature is the lock off on the latch so that I can deactivate the lock on a cabinet. (Like a kitchen cabinet while I am cooking or at grandma's when we are not there.) Although they can be tricky to install I think they are the best out there.

Does Home Depot take Lowes coupons? Just in case my HD has them. Thanks for the tip!

I cleared out the stores in Cupertino (De Anza Blvd), Livermore, and Hayward. East Palo Alto, San Ramon, and Pleasanton don't have any more in stock. Sunnyvale (Kifer) wouldn't take my call.

The one place that had a ton was the Union City store. Most of the HDs only had 1 or 2 left, but Union City had about 15-20 of them yesterday afternoon.

Good luck!

Yes, HD takes Lowe's coupons, & there is a 10% off coupon somewhere in the bargains thread. I just printed it yesterday- hoping to get to HD tomorrow!

LOL, I should've known you ladies are fast! I tried at the So. SJ stores and they said the Sunnyvale store had 4 in the system, but so did their store and they were no where to be found... Thanks for the tip though, a great deal!

Well guess what. I finally got the coupon to print & I finally made it to HD & they didn't have the 2 pack! I wasn't about to leave empty handed, so I got the 4 pack which wasn't on sale.
Just my luck! Oh well, at least I got the 10% off.
