Elmo TMX at Costco

Just in case someone is wanting one -- say Elmo TMX at Costco for $34.99 -- better then the $120 online! I was at the Costco in Everett, Mass.

I called the day of and we have two Costcos near us and they were sold out..... I did get one at Target but that is a story in and of itself...

Not to hijack, but what does this thing do? I happened to be in Target on Tuesday when they were first in stores, but you can't even see it! I had a hard time paying $40.00 for something that I don't even know what it does. Of course, I thought I should buy as many as you are allowed and sell them on eBay for some ridiculous amount of money as I'm sure that is what will be happening. However, I didn't - will probably regret that decision!

Thanks! I'll watch that when I have time. And and I am regretting not buying as many as they would allow. They are already selling on eBay for $80-$100! I'm sure as time goes on, it will go even higher. I just get annoyed with this kind of thing because you know the manufacturer plans it that way. There were probably only 15 boxes in Target when I was there early in the day on Tuesday. I only saw one person buying one, so it's not like they were beating down the doors to get them. Planned mania...UGH!

This was just the initial rush. I am of the opinion that Fisher Price would rather have the Elmo profits in their pockets than the pockets of the ebayer or craigslister selling the toy for inflated prices. FP will make sure there are plenty of Elmo's in the stores for the holidays.

I just looked at the Fisher Price website and saw it can be ordered directly, but it's backordered until 12/8. I wonder if they would ship in time for the Holidays?
I'm not even looking to get one, I'm just fascinated by all the hype :7

I pre-ordered a TMX doll through Amazon so I didn't have to rush to buy it at Target on Tuesday. I checked the status on Wednesday and it said that the estimated arrival date was on Sept. 28th, which is fine because my son's birthday is on October 14th. Well, I justed checked my email and they send me a notice saying that they are sorry but are unable to fulfill my order at this time and will refund me my money! If they told me this on Monday I would have picked one up!!!! I'm so mad. I told my son he was getting one.

If any of you have an extra, or see any at the store I would really love to buy one. My son's birthday is on October 14th. I would not only buy it from you, but I'll send you a replacement as soon as I can find one. Gosh, never thought I would be one of those deseperate parents. I'm just mad that my order was cancelled, especially since it was a "pre-order".

They have them at toysrus.com. They didn't yesterday, but they do now.

I Walmart about an hour away from my house got a shipment in last night, the guy there was sooo nice and let me pick it up at midnight right before they closed. I called this morning at 6:30AM to see if they still had some (I was hoping to buy a couple extra for Christmas presents) and they were already sold out! Seems so silly, yet, last night it broke my heart when Amazon cancelled my order. :) Reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Kids when I was growing up.
