I need something to use indoors during winter to help my son expend some energy! We have the space. The sets I see online have enormous shipping charges (understandably), so I know I'll have to go B&M, but wanted to know if any fellow BBB'ers have blazed trail already for this. I want a large slide, as the little slides hold no interest for my son--he doesn't get that "Whee!" factor from them. Many TIA for any leads!

Toys R Us has one on sale for $100 (Little Tikes Endless Adventures Slide & Hide Tower):

Hope this helps.

This is hit or miss, but I got a fairly big outdoor/indoor slide (not sure if it's Little Tikes or Step 2) for $30 from Craigslist! My bargain of the century. It turned out the people selling it lived in my town (and I kind of knew them) and the husband delivered it in his truck in almost one piece.

I know some people have ended up with some great deals from Craigslist. The one above was kept outside and we keep it outside too (could've been inside if we cleaned it well), but we also bought a Step 2 Kangaroo Climber for $50. I don't know if you've checked your Craigslist, but it's worth a shot.

Sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, the sale playhouse I ordered last night was cancelled today by Toys R Us, so they probably would not have honored their sale price for the slide, anyway.

I just bought the Kangaroo climber from WalMart for $89. They have a "ship to store" option where shipping is free.

The Kangaroo Climber may be too small for what you are looking for - but they also have the Woodland Climber and other options that you could also have shipped to the store. For the Kangaroo climber in particular, this was the best deal I could find (and I checked - I try to avoid WalMart when possible). Target's price was 129, including shipping.

HTH!

Thanks for the suggestions. My local Craigslist is almost like Ebay--no good deals to be had, and sometimes costing the same or more than retail!

I'm going to try Walmart in the store, b/c unfortunately they haven't set up Site to Store back here. The item I REALLY want is the LT Mountain Climber. I know my little guy would love it!
