I was surprised to find Brio train items at Kmart to begin with but to find them on clearance was even better.
I found the Brio My First Railway for $3. It looks like this

There were other Brio items on clearance as well. The My First Railway set was at 90% off, other Brio items were about 50% of, they had a figure 8 set, a battery operated set, an expansion track set, a box with 4 cars, and a battery operated vehicle. There were also Maxim wooden train items on clearance there as well.
Although, DS already has Thomas, I thought these would make great gifts for his buddies that don't have trains just yet.
