I just signed up, now the question...What did I sign up for? I figured if everyone here was interested, it's something I should jump on.

They send you e-mail surveys and pay $5 per survey (check or PayPal). I usually get about 2 'houshold question' surveys per month (quick, 3-4 questions, not paid) and maybe 1 "produt survey" per month (longer - paid). I just looked through my e-mails and it looks like I have done 8 paid in the last year ($40).

or lied about my age. They're looking for 18 - 24 year olds. So not my demographic. Thanks for posting, anyway.

Good catch. I didn't notice that- and well, I no longer fit in that category either! I wonder if they keep you in a database for awhile just in case something that fits for you pops up in the next couple of months.

I didn't see that at all when I signed up... I wonder if they continuously check who applied and change the banner to reflect who they are still short on. Maybe they want new members from all demographics and since a lot of us moms applied, they want some young adult males to apply as well to even out the ranks. Who knows??? Here's hoping that we all get accepted.

I checked off my correct demographic...which is older than 18-24 and I'm female. I got an email this afternoon with additional questions to build my profile and asked if I prefer a check or paypal. It looks like I'm in the queue to have surveys sent to me. :)

Thank you!!

I got the same e-mail as you and I checked off my correct demographic as well (over 18-24 and female). Now I have to download the updated FLASH player!

Here's what the e-mail said:

Thank you for signing up for the PineCone Research online consumer panel! In order for us to finish processing your registration and receive your choice of Pay Pal or voucher survey payment, we have a few additional questions for you. Your prompt response is appreciated and will put you into the queue for your first paid survey.

I got another email today officially welcoming me to the panel. It said I should be receiving a survey soon. Thanks to the OP for the link to get us all in on this. Between this and ebates I'll have some tidy spending money - I can at least feed my Starbucks addiction a little.

My second email came today. I was actually sort of surprised when I received the first email. I've heard that it's so hard to "catch" the banner ad that I didn't think the link would actually work. I'm so glad it did! LOL
