This is Amazon's baby deal of the day, and it is SMOKING. I am showing 6 left. I did a search of the boards and people had great things to say about this seat as far as longevity and stability.

Awesome deal! Thanks sooo much. I hope I got it...I got a confirmation of my order so I'm hoping they still had them in stock.

We have a KZ for DS and love it but for this price, I'm willing to try the Tipp Topp. I'll resell if it doesn't work out and buy a KZ. The reviews seem mostly favorable.

thanks for posting. I hope our order goes through.

We bought this chair at the last Amazon Baby Sale. I bought it in Natural because DS went through a phase where he was chewing on everything including the high chair.

When we put it together Dh said, "Whoah! This is solid" It is heavy and solid. We love it. The tray table is nice and big. We wish it had 5 pt harness but the belt works well for now.

DD is now 7 mths and sitting in it very well. It's a bit wider that the EuroChair we got for DS.

I think we bought it for get this..... $50 because it was on sale for $129 on Amazon, Free Shipping, then I turned in some Frequent Flyer miles for an Amazon GC... we paid $50. What a deal!

Beth did you get your chair? I am going back and forth between TT for the kids or this and I'd love to hear your preference between the two. :)

Thanks in advance!

I just ordered it but I just want to make sure my DD, age 2.5 is not too old for it. We are currently using a wooden type of high chair that you would use at a diner and she rather be on my lap. So, I am hoping this would work for her. What do you think????

Thanks,
Stacey

It is good til 150lbs I believe :) DS has a Kinderzeat, which we love, love, love. He's still using it at 3 and I don't anticipate him giving it up anytime soon. That one doesn't have a tray, but is the same idea. Easy to climb into, not very tippable. Some people here have said in the past that their kids used them as computer chairs, etc. for many years.

We already got our Kettler chair from this deal. DD is only 4 months, and I don't think I'll use it that much w/ the tray (IMO the tray doesn't seem super practical but I might change my mind on that). However, without the tray, the idea is basically the same as the KZ. A sturdy, adjustable chair to pull up directly to the table. Again, they can use it as an ergonomically adjusted chair for many years IMO.

DS hated, hated, hated the high chair and LOVED his KZ starting when he was about 15ish months or so.

The TT deal wasn't up when I was looking or I probably would have gone for that, just so their seats could match (DS has a KZ in natural). It is hard to give a really good review since DD is only 4 months and not using the chair yet. I may skip using the tray...not sure how hard it will be to clean, and also, the tray doesn't come on/off easily. It is meant to kind of stay attached and then you slide them in/out like a restaurant high chair. We'll see how big of a deal that is when the time comes.

From the toddler chair perspective, I think it is at least as nice as the KZ. It has higher sides, which might be nice when we first start using it as a toddler chair. I had DS sit in it and it seems like it would be very very hard to tip (like the KZ). I have natural in both. The natural in the Kettler chair is a little lighter in color, the KZ is a little darker/warmer wood color. Both are nice IMO.

I really don't have much experience with actually using it yet. If someone is looking at it as a toddler chair, for the price I say it is worth saving $50 over the KZ/TT (I got my Kettler chair for $99 shipped). From the standpoint of it being used as a high chair from say 6-8 months of age, not sure how much I'll like it for that. I will certainly give it a try once DD is sitting up more. We still have our FP Healthy Care Deluxe high chair, so I will probably try her in both.

not sure if that helps?

Thanks for the tip! I've been hesitant to get a KZ because of the price and lack of a tray, I hope the Tipp Topp will fit the bill.

I always seem to be too late. Can you tell me how you find out about Amazon's Baby Deal of the Day? I can't seem to find it on their website.

We got our mahogany chair about two days after purchase - I agree with a PP poster, assembly was easy except getting the footrest in position. Jonathan LOVES the chair and runs to pull it up to the table and climb in. I don't think I would have used the tray for a younger child - a solid wood tray is a little impractical to wash after each meal - but as a toddler chair this one is great. Thanks again, Jo!
