SOLD! (If I can't have a cart full of musical instruments, darn it, I'll have an ear monitor instead!!) LOL!

I wasn't sure about this one before, but for $1, it's worth the gamble!!!

Oh, awesome! I wanted one of these, but couldn't get myself to pay that $40 or so price tag.

99 cents is a GREAT deal.

THANKS, Missy and Jo!

I bought one of these (but paid like $50) and just wanted to say that I'm so glad I did. DS has already had a few ear infections and it has worked well at detecting fluid in his "bad" ear. Even better, after he starts antibiotics we can monitor the ear to make sure the fluid starts going away. It's a great tool, especially if your DC is prone to getting ear infections. Plus, what a great deal!

I completely missed out on this deal and really need one! If anyone sees another deal or if you bought an extra one you don't need, I would love to buy it. Thanks!!!

Lisa,
Any suggestions as to how to use this thing? I don't think I'm using it right.

Just saw this, sorry for not replying earlier!

It took some practice (I tried it on DD before attempting DS since he's squirmy). I pull the ear up and back and then put the monitor on the ear opening. It'll make some beeping/chirping noises while you hold down the button (the child can hear it, but you probably won't hear it) and then after about 5-6 seconds it will stop at a level, make sure you are holding down the button and keeping it on the ear until you see a level displayed. The child needs to be sitting up and not making any sounds since that can throw it off.

Hope this helps a little - let me know if you have any questions!
