I just wanted to follow up with everyone. I got the Jeep Wagoneer foot-to-floor ride on without trailer for $22.xx from Amazon on that *hot* day.
DH put it together (instrux are horrible) and it took less than about an hour.
DS who is almost 3 LOVES the truck and is riding it all over the house! DD who is almost 18 mos. loves playing on it too.
At first it seemed really tiny compared to what I expected, but once it was all together, it's not too small. I'm so happy I got it and regret only that I didn't click the "order now" button soon enough to get the one with the trailer.
DS sees that there's a hook on the back of the truck and is wondering where the trailer is!
