Where do I go online or at a store to buy a cast iron skillet ?

You can probably pick up a nicely seasoned one from an antiques shop - our favorite one for years was an antique Wagner we picked up at a fair. Lodge makes good quality cast iron cookware. Here's a link to their online store:

You might also try the camping section of your local big box store, or any outdoor specialty stores in your area (like Gander Mountain).

Lodge makes a pre-seasoned line of cast-iron called Lodge Logic. Amazon has really good prices on it, and it qualifies for their free shipping over $25. I'm lusting after their reversible grill pan/griddle right now. DH actually just bought me a 12" skillet. I had never cooked on cast-iron before, and there is a learning curve (which I'm still learning!)

if you have a cracker barrel around you they sell a pre seasoned one that is pretty ncie and good prices on them too!

I scratched my cooktop with it, so heed these warnings ;)!

Still awesome cookware, just so heavy it's easy to forget and move it an inch or so...BIG MISTAKE.

I know that this is late but if anyone else is looking... Walmart used to carry Lodge cookware. I haven't looked in awhile so I don't know if they still do. Sur La Table also sells Lodge.

It's past Father's Day now, but we got ours--a preseasoned Lodge cast iron skillet--at Sears (no shipping).
