Is this a typical time to offer great deals on appliances??? Lowe's, Home Depot, Sears... anywhere???

I have to buy a new washer and dryer, mine are 15 years old and my dryer sounds like it has a bag of quarters in it slapping around. (estimated repair $200)I am trying to make it until the 4th of July and hopefully can get some kind of deal. I am probably going to buy a Bosch, we have a Lowe's here and also a Mom and Pop about 25 miles away that carry
them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I remember seeing a Lowe's "moving" coupon. I think you could use it even if you are not moving, as long as you do not request it all the time, iykwim.
Here it is:

Also take advantage of price matching. Are there any stores near you that are geared to builders/building a home? We got Sears to price match the wholesale/builders price when we bought all of our appliances. This was for a new house, but if your going to spend a significant amount, they will probably want to bend over backwards for you to buy from them. I haven't bought appliances from Lowe's, but the Sears SA's did everything they could to get the sale. Good luck!

we bought our appliances during the 4th sale last year as they were having some great deals. i would also suggest getting one of those 10% coupons (you can get one off of ebay) and combine it with the sales and their price matching/beating policies.

good luck!

We just bought a new LG washer/dryer set from Home Depot. I used the 20% from AmEx from their wishlist. I bet those are available online on ebay, and that was a great deal. It saves up to a max of $400. Then they had a rebate for energy star appliances, so we're getting another $75 back.

Most places take competitors coupons also. Though Lowes wouldn't take the amex coupon.

We just got a bosch dishwasher at lowes and used an expired home depot coupon for 10%

I don't know about 4th of July sales.

Does anyone know if Lowe's or Home Depot has one of those price match within a period of buying. For instance, if our dishwasher goes on sale July 4th could we go back with our receipt and get the sales price?

Happy Shopping, Bosch is a great brand.

I went ahead and ordered off the internet. Not only would Lowes not price match but they told me it would be two week minimum to get the pair in to their store. I ordered the Bosch 500 pair for around $1800, free shipping, no tax. I actually tried to speak to the manager and pay more if he would just knock off the tax. No such luck. They made it almost impossible to buy from them. Unfortunately we don't have a local store that sells Bosch so it was to the net we go...

I really hate to do this and really prefer to spend my dollars in my town, but damn they make it almost impossible sometimes. They refused to price match off the internet, would not take Home Depot coupon, wouldn't even knock the tax off.

The only difference is that they would come and install it, DH can do that for a $300 savings...

Thanks for your help!!!

I can't wait until they get here, it is a pain going to use my neighbors dryer everyday...

Home Depot's 10% off appliance sale starts tomorrow and they will take other people's coupons so you can print the one from lowesmoving.com

Do you happen to know how long it takes to get the 10% coupon via email?
