I was one of those 168 people and I loved the sales. Thank you. I'm thinking about getting the backpack. Thanks again :)

Does anyone have this backpack? Did your DC like it, is it big enough to hold a lunch box? Thanks.

Thanks for posting!

I've seen the backpack in the store, and it's pretty small. It's more of a preschool backpack I think and I do not believe that a lunchbox would fit in it.

It's perfect for preschool but would not hold a lunch box. I ordered it ages ago at full price and had it monogrammed! I hate I missed this great deal!

Someone on here showed me that trick before and I randomly go back and check their clearance section for better than online prices. Sometimes, I find some really cool deals.

What's the trick? Do tell please.

The only time I ever find out about "secret sales" is when I do phone orders, then they offer them or I ask. Would love to know how to find them without actually having to place a phone order.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting these! There is no way that I need new aprons for the kids (just ordered the Williams-Sonoma ones a couple of weeks ago) but I remember loving that yellow tulip apron when I saw it a while back... and then there are my nieces...

BTW, for the OP asking about the size of the backpack, during DS's first week of preschool last year, there was one little boy who had the crocodile backpack - I noticed, because in a sea of Thomas, Dora and Bob the Builder backpacks, he and DS were the only ones carrying anything different, and I had considered the PBK one, so I was curious to see it IRL.

The PBK was darling, but not quite big enough or sturdy enough for school. By the second week, the little boy was carrying a Spiderman backpack. But the PBK backpack would be lovely for a toddler or preschooler to use on family trips, around town, etc.

Find a clearance item, add it to your basket to see the item code. Copy the item code which is usually a 95-XXXXXXX number. Paste it into the search window, then replace the 95 with a 68 - that gives you the phone order special prices. Now be careful, because sometimes they update the online price and the phone item price stays more expensive. But at times, it's a lot cheaper. It usually only works to reduce the price of the final clearance items (65% off stuff), but will also work on other items, so if you are planning to order any item, it's a good idea to check what the 68 price is.

Oh...I like the sales but I've spaved enough this month. DH bet me that I couldn't go a full week without shopping on line. It's killing me but I'm determined to do it. :)

I checked it out because I just placed an order last week, but it looks like the prices are the same. I appreciate you doing it though, I needed to go back to see if I needed price adjustments. I got the backpacks and had them monogrammed. They arrived yesterday and they are really cute. I also bought the puffy baskets for 5, then I went to the store and they had them for 2. It ticked me off!

My DD has the elehant backpack. SHe is 2-3/4. It is a bit big for her, but not too much. I think it is a great bag and seems to be made well.

No! And the sales associate said that you can't return online sale items to the store any longer!

thanks for the tips! I got the easter baskets for DDs. Too cute! But it was not free monogram/ship. I was hoping for a similar deal to the WS aprons from a few weeks back! That deal was too good. :-)

DD1 has the elephant backpack, it's pretty small. By the time winter rolled around we had to get a bigger one to hold a winter change of clothes, boots, crafts, etc. Definitely still useful though.

You can't?!? Wow, that is a big turn off to ordering from them. I don't mind ordering from stores if at least I can return it to a b&m and save on return shipping. And PBK/PB/WS have so many things that are internet only, if you could do in store pick up that would be great (like REI. I love REI!) But not taking returns? Looks like I'll be spending less money with them! I won't risk buying something I "think" we might like.

I know. That's exactly what I thought. I was so surprised when she told me that. They used to let you return, I guess it's a newer policy. I think it's only their sale stuff, but still!

Its not a "promo" code, its an item number.

When you type in that item number into the search box it will show you the lower price.

Thank you! And thanks for the great tip about PBK! ;)
I also added a $29 door organizer to my cart and I tried out your secret trick and it was only $19 in the end!

Really, too small for even my 3yo in her preschool. She received it as a gift, but after using it a few times, we went back to our slightly bigger Gap one. Skip it!!! It won't even fit a piece of construction paper if it's not folded.

I just tried your 68-#### trick on sale merchandise (not clearance) and noticed the price went down on those items too. Thanks so much for sharing this info. You're the best!!!

I ordered the alligator backpack (monogrammed) along with the matching sleep mat and we love them!

My DS is 15months old and we use the backpack as his diaper bag...Now that we arent lugging bottles, formula and baby food the backpack is perfect to fit snacks, sippy cup, diapers, wipes and a change of clothes...I was so happy to put away the big diaper bag unless we are going to be away for an overnight trip...

THANK YOU! I just saved $25 on my order, mostly using this trick on full priced items, such as the Caroline bedding. I did get a little off of a sale item, but 3 full priced items came up for much less than full price (the bumper alone was $15 less than regular price).
