Wooden Thomas stuff at Barnes & Noble clearance section

B&N has a table for $2, $5 or 75% off stuff. I got Thomas wooden railway: Recycling cars (reg 19.99), Mining cars (reg 14.99) and Arthur (reg 12.99) for $5 each

Cool! Now I have to wait for DH to come home so I can check it out (the kids are napping).

Well, I just got back from B&N and they did not have any thomas stuff. I asked a sales lady there if she knew about any thomas stuff on sale and she said that they did have stuff on clearance a few wks ago. However, it turned out the majority of it was stuff that was under the recall, so they sent it all back due to the recall. So, if any of you find clearance thomas stuff, please double check to make sure you didn't get one of the trains that has lead in it.

I just came back from Barnes &Noble and I got the Mining cars (reg 14.99) and Arthur (reg 12.99) for $5 each. I also got Diesel ($10.99) for $2. I checked and they are not in the recall list. They were in a box, under the clearance table, so they were very hard to find.

I called one store and she claimed no Thomas toys in their inventory at all.

I called a different store and she said she was in charge of the kids area and had not heard of a clear-out of Thomas for them.

Will try 3rd local store this afternoon - not holding out hope.

Anyone else B&N not clearing out Thomas?

I found 3 tables of clearance items including several Arthurs. I got one as a stocking stuffer for $2. Also found a box of 28 various greeting cards for 75% off - $5.
