I hope those who ordered them at the great price ultimately get them. Macy's was pretty good about honoring the price last year (which was like $17), though they were backordered for a long time.

However, I know a lot of folks received damaged pianos. I checked mine when it first arrived, and didn't notice any obvious damage. The piano was shrinkwrapped within the box it shipped in, and didn't have any obvious damage. However when we unpacked the piano this January for my DS' birthday, we realized that 1 of the wooden legs was seriously cracked (and broke within the first 30 minutes of use). Since it had been so long since we purchased the piano, I didn't try to get a replacement - we just woodglued it and it's hanging in there). But it does look like an area of weakness that is completely obscured by the packaging materials within the shrinkwrap, so my recommendation is for you to check it thoroughly for damage upon receipt (even if it means opening the shrinkwrap.)

Maybe you can contact M & D to see if they will replace it. People here have said they have very good customer service.

I wanted to thank you for the tip to call M&D - two of the keys on my piano that arrived today were making funky noises. I called up and they said a new piano is on it's way and that I can donate the other one - I don't have to send it back! I'm a very happy customer!
