We like Horizon. We get chocolate at Costco, but DS loves strawberry too. Each case of 18 Horizon milk boxes is $22. If you buy $40 worth, you can use code ORGMILK2 for $20 off your total. Eligible for FS. Here is the link to the eligible products.

i'm just leary about milk traveling w/this heat (AKA the summer months), what are your thoughts?

I'd buy this for sure IF it weren't in the 90's these days. I wouldn't trust milk traveling in this heat and who knows how long the box would be sitting on my front porch before I found it.

I placed an order today. Mine isn't going to ship for at least 2 weeks, and most of my amazon purchases ship from one state over so when they do finally ship I get them in a day or 2.

I don't live in the hottest part of the country. But it has been in the 90's this week.

I usually keep a few of these in my car for emergencies for myself and DS (granted I park in covered parking at work and a garage at home but it is still hot) and haven't noticed any problems with the ones that have been "warm" for a week.

Thank you for posting this. I've been unable to find unflavored organic milk boxes in local stores but I wanted to stock up before DD starts school. Perfect! (Well, Horizon isn't my fave company, but these are better than the alternative milk @ school)

this is the only milk my daughter will drink! so huge savings...

When i bring one along to a picnic or traveling, i still store them in a cooler lunch sack with ice. I did 2 orders. 1 order for chocolate and vanilla, 2nd order for strawberry and soy vanilla (for me). Thanks!!!

Oooh, DD & DS love these for treats - and I love that they can be stored in the cupboard, as fridge space is always at a premium in our house.

If you buy two packs, they're only $0.66 each after the $20 off coupon - amazing deal!

Anyone have any idea on the shelf life of the Horizon milk boxes?

Thank you :)

I bought some to take to work. They don't sell organic at work.

I usually have a couple of months (or even up to 4) for a Horizon pack when I buy them from Costco. The date is printed on the end of the box. I used to worry that we would not use them in time, but that never happens.
Tips: I can usually get away with one in our handbag when we fly, which means that if he doesn't drink it, I don't have to throw it out. I put 3 or 4 in a galllon-size ziploc, and I put that in my check-in bag when we go somewhere. That way, I am not racing to get milk at weird hours. It is nice that I can go get a pretty big cup of organic whole milk from any Starbucks for about a dollar anywhere, but these help with odd hours or amusement parks or other activities.
Plus, I keep some at the office for DS to drink on the way home from daycare. This is especially helpful when I work until 625p, and he is hungry and tired.

Thank you!!!
I have been looking for the unflavored milk forever. And this deal makes it even better.

Thanks! My son is not quite old enough to drink the milk, so I think I will wait on getting. Great deal though!

Does this taste like normal fridge milk?

Thank you for the post!

FYI... I placed an order for a pack of Horizon (unflavored) and a pack of Silk (Very Vanilla) on 8/8, order was shipped on 8/9, I just received my shipment today (8/10). I live in CA.

Each pack has the production and expiration dates stamped on the outside of the carton. Horizon has a prod. date of 6/07, exp. date of 12/07. Silk has a prod. of 04/07, exp. date of 01/08.

HTH.

My Horizon arrived yesterday (2 cases - 1 vanilla, 1 chocolate). Both have an expiration date of 01/08. I don't recall the production date.

I know the chocolate Horizon does. I haven't tried any of the others. I ordered the unflavored and am hoping it's okay. We've used the plain Parmalat milk boxes before and they do taste different but DD1 doesn't seem to mind.

I placed two orders and was able to use the $20 off promo both times (and I think it would let me use it again if I tried, but we're short on storage space in our tiny house ;>).
Thanks OP!
