Does anyone have some insight into how and when Disney re-issues it's movies? I see Jungle book is just coming back on DVD on Oct 2, but it was released on DVD back in 1999. Is there a standard release every 7 years or does it vary?

Also where's the best/cheapest place to buy the Disney DVD's?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if there's any rhyme or reason to how they do this. One site I have found helpful is ultimatedisney.com which has a schedule of future releases.

I just received a mailing from the Disney Movie Club, where you can get the first three movies for $1.99 each. It is similar to some of those CD clubs where you are obligated to buy an additional quantity -- I think it is four over the next two years -- and they send them automatically to you unless you instruct them otherwise.

You can find the details at www.disneymovieclub.com.

Thanks for the info! The ultimatedisney site was especially helpful in showing the out of print DVD's and anticipated new release dates.

Cheers!
