We will be getting together with my DS and his three cousins for our annual Labor Day gathering. I remember seeing ideas about a tablecloth with handprints. Has anyone tried this as an annual tradition? Is there a type of paint that is safe but washable?
Thanks!

I've never heard of that idea before, but I really like the idea! I'm the oldest of 7 grand and 2 greats on my dad's side, and that sounds like something my Grandma would love.
As for how to actually do it, I'm thinking washable fabric paint and a premade table cloth in a light/neutral color. And maybe a black fabric marker, to label each handprint with name, age and date?

i think it would be cute to outline the hands with fabric paint. that's definitely safe and washable. Never tried it myself, I think the ease of this project highly depends on the age of the child... my son would NEVER keep his hand still!
