any scrapbookers out there?

I am DYING to start a scrapbook for Ryan and have sadly spent tons of money of supplies and have NO clue what I am doing and need a lesson or two. Any ideas on where to find a scrapbooking teacher? I know that some of the stores have classes but there are no stores close enough for me to take an evening workshop and I know that there are "private" consultants out there. Anyone know of one in the NY/CT area?

The Memory Makers Magazine, Paper Kuts, Simple Scrapbooking, etc - lots of magazines could be very helpful.

If you like simple designs, Creative Memories are good.
