I also need help with my Minnie Mouse theme. It was hard to find red decorations with Minnie so I made some. The tableclothes are white and I am putting red polka dots on them. I bought a small punch out with Mickey's face, to look like confetti. I also made Minnie decorations using the overhead projector and to enlagren the coloring book pages that I copied on the overhead transpanency sheets. I colored and laminated them and will put them up on the walls and made a border with Mickey faces. I will have balloons but did not want to use them as the centerpiece. Now, I am at a loss with centerpieces. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would have done lollipops but DD is allergic to milk.
Please help!
TIA
Stacey

O.k, well you sound pretty crafty to me!! I love the theme, how awesome.

Centerpieces suggestions:

Find a Minnie/Mickey Cookie Cutter and make Rice Crisy treats on sticks (you could mold/cut these also). Cover with sucker bags tie with red/yellow/white ribbon. Put a bunch in a red vase (plastic would probably be safest) and then find a red with white polka dots ribbon and tie that around the vase.

OR

Make the cookies/rice crispy treat suckers and then find a shallow cheap container (bottom of a 2 liter) Cover with a red felt skirt, you can hot glue or sew on white polka dots. Insert Suckers into opening of skirt (use floral foam to get them to stand, but make the waist of the skirt narrow enough so you can't see the foam.

Follow this link and make it bigger. :)

OR
If you want 3D

Start with 1" thick dowel rod colored black, cut into 3-4" pieces. Cut 2 sections of egg carton out split down middle 1/4 of the way and wrap around dowel rod secure with wood glue or hot glue, fashion yellow shoe around "egg" with yellow construction paper, add red bows cut out of construction paper to "shoes". Glue legs to bottom of intact clear 2-liter bottle. Turn over, using template ( http://www.dltk-kids.com/t/cartoons/cminnie.htm )make a color blow up of minnie's face (don't forget the bow!) Laminate. Attach 2 to thinner dowel (~14") one in each side of dowel rod. Add 1 cup of sand to weight 2 liter down and to stand Minnie's head in bottle. Add slits at arm height for arms later on.
Fashion slip version of minnie's dress out of red felt, add white polka dots to skirt, slip over two liter Tie/glue white ribbon around "waist" to give it shape. Be sure to make dress long enough to cover bottle. Use template again to make arms, blow up and laminate attach to popsicle sticks leave 1" of popsicle stick out so you can poke popsicle sticks through arm slits in two liter, secure with some glue for stability.

You could also use the chocolate mold to make soap suckers too, then tell everyone to take them home remove the sticks and they'll have some soap! Might be a cute favor (minus the sticks) too!

Not what you asked but, Disney has the coolest Mickey and Minnie Mouse "head" pizzas. If you are looking for food ideas I am sure you could make these on your own.

GL!

Christy,
Thank you sooooo much for all your suggestions. I did think of lollipops but DD is lactose intolerant, but never thought of rice krispy snacks. That is what I will do and use one of the holder ideas!
Thanks again,
Stacey
