Where can I get some *nice* fabric, online or otherwise? I need to be able to know the composition (cotton/silk/mix of whatever, etc).

Also if you feel like it, please post any sources (boards?) for all stuff sewing. Thanks in advance!

I'm going to confess..... I am addicted to craft blogs right now. These cool women have found the most interesting fabrics and things to do with them.

Start here and start going through the blogs.

Sounds like fun! What are you sewing?

I have a running lists of items i want to make for next year. Like Chalkboard placemats, a quilt for my daughter, Doll clothes, a play teepee for DS... Oh the list goes on an on...

Drapes. I have no clothes-making ambitions, except perhaps minor alterations and simple skirts for me if I find a print I fall in love with (not hard to do) :)

But for now, drapes.

Are you interested in yahoo groups for purchasing fabric? I can PM you a few if you would like.

Also there is a Waverly fabric outlet here in Delaware. Please let me know if you want more info.

Absolutely, please do PM me: rapunzel_3028 at hotmail dot com

I have searched everywhere (on line) for the perfect fabric for my dining room three windows with no luck (well, save the designer fabric which is pretty beyond words but just not feasible for this kind of project!). I have it very clear in my head, so it must exist somewhere! :P

Thanks for the Del. outlet info too!

Try http://artisanssquare.com/sg/index.php for great discussion and lists of fabric sources.

I'll be glad to help however I can, but know that home dec sewing is a real chore for me.
