Does anyone have any good recommendations for crafts for 18 month olds? Since Martie does arts and crafts at Mother's Day out I thought that I could get her stuff to do at home. I find myself constantly thinking of things to do to occupy her mornings. Are there any websites?

I don't know any websites, but here's somethings DS and I do/have done. He doesn't like painting, however, we have tried fingerpainting, sponge painting, and stamp painting with cut apples. None of it has really gone over very well with him.
What he loves is stipping down, getting into the bathtub and "painting" with his soap paints, playing with Playdoh (with the accompanying "Pow!" at each hit), rolling out/cutting out/decorating cookies, coloring, coloring, and more coloring, making faces, houses, and trains out of pieces of felt on his felt board.

Stickers!
I bought a couple of tubs of foam stickers when they were on sale at Michael's. DS loves these. He makes patterns on construction paper with them and sometimes even colors on there too.
DS likes to paint with water. I got some paint with water books for $.99 each.
He also likes the Crayola Color Wonder markers and fingerpaints. And, he likes to paint with shaving cream in the shower.
Something I've been thinking about (but haven't tried yet) is gluing pasta onto construction paper or cardstock.

Where do you get the paint with water books? I bet Martie would like that and it doesn't sound too messy. She's sick right now, but thank goodness for our markers and scrap paper - that's kept her a little occupied.

Can't answer your paint with water book question, but Alice has had fun just painting with water on regular construction paper. It's more about the process though :) because you just kind of end up with a warped piece of paper after it dries but she's never seemed to mind. She also likes to paint with water in the chalk dust on her easel chalk board if you have one of those.
have fun!

A friend just found some at the dollar store. I remember these from when I was little! :)
