I'm not putting this up to start another discussion on breast vs bottle. I have to admit that I don't know if this was a "good" study or not, just though it was interesting.

I haven't read your link yet. But has someone studied the blood pressure rates of the bf'ing moms who don't get enough sleep b/c of their bf'ing babe. :) LOL

I'm sure mine's up there!

It was UNC. I took part in that study - never mind that wasn't the study that I took. I did however take place in a study about the powers of oxytocin and blood pressure.

I hear ya, Pam! Going on 9.5 months with no full-nights of sleep here! It's really starting to hit me now, like I feel I will never get a night of sleep again!

I said to DH last night, "I wonder what it feels like to sleep 8 hours straight because I honestly don't remember"! :)

Sonia,

Out of curiosity, do you know what the findings of your study were? Were they studying blood pressure in lactating women or the babies?

They took blood samples and monitored my blood pressure so it was on me. I don't think they are done with this study, but while I was waiting in their office, I noticed a newspaper article that they had posted that stated that UNC (i'm assuming the same department) did a study that blood pressure was lower in breastfeeding women.
