A very nice coworker is lending me a PIS and she told me I can buy a kit for around $50 with all the horns, tubes and other accesories, but I don't see it on BRU website. Does anyone know a good place to find this kit? Thanks in advance.

this is where I buy my replacement parts for my Ameda. She has the Medela kit that you need for $42

Thanks, that looks like exactly what I need. I was hoping they sold it at BRU b/c I have a bunch of credit, but at least I found it!

I know I have seen the pumps at Babies R Us but I don't know if they have the kits. Call the nearest store and ask.

I ordered some extra PIS horns from this website:

I received the equipment really quickly! HTH!

E-bay is another source for those. They do sell brand new kits there as well.

it's pretty unlikely that you'll find the kits at BRU as Medela considers their breastpumps a one-user item. i got a PIS from a friend and called Medela to find out where to buy replacement parts and they were very snotty to me, backing up their claims with mention of restrictions by the FDA. i had DS at a birth center, and they sold the replacement kits. if you live in a state where there are birth centers, try one of those.

good luck!

Since the kits are used with the larger multiple user hospital grade pumps they are readily available. I used mine with a Medela Classic, the hospital grade Ameda and my pump in style. I have seen them on the shelves at my local BRU. I know that BRU does not have everything on the website so its worth checking the store. I have also seen them at maternity shops, from lactation consultants and on eBay. I obtained my first from the lactation consultant at the hospital (they billed my insurance) and and later on bought parts and special horns/shields from a local maternity shop.

I've ordered from this lady.

Read the description carefully before you order. The products do not come packaged as brand new and the new kit includes horns/connectors that are all one piece (instead of 2 pieces) and hard as heck to clean and harder still to pack in the PIS.

I ordered thru her so I could have extra set ups (btw, just go ahead and get 2 if you are going to be pumping and working, it's just WAY easier). I had also purchased a new set up thru a local lactation specialist previously. The local ladies set up was new in the box, while the ebay lady's was not. When I asked about it she told me that they were new and that is how they are sold to the representatives in bulk. And while I believed her, I was still not very happy about it. I could not complain because if I read the description carefully, she says nothing about "new, in box" or anything like that and you can tell if you look carefully at the picture that it's the single piece unit as opposed to the easier to clean 2 pieces set. So...while I could not give her negative feed back, I'd hesitate to recommend her to anyone for PIS parts. Seriously, see if you have anyone local that's a Medela rep/lactation specialist. That's what I'd recommend.

Good luck!

I called Medela to get a local retailer. I was linked up with a pharmacy and got all of the parts separately for around $40.

Does your local hospital or hospital equipment supply store have any? I got the Medela kit when I was in the hospital having DH.

I got mine in the hospital too. I knew from my breastfeeding class there that they carried that brand. So as soon as I got settled in my room I asked for a pumping kit. I opened it but never needed to use it in the hospital. This way the insurance company will pay for it and not you.
