I currently pump and feed the expressed breast milk via bottle, supplementing with formula on occasion. I can tell that my supply is drying up, and I haven't been able to find the time to pump as often as I need to, so I'm sure the pumping days will soon be over and we'll be completely on formula.
I was able to amass a pretty respectable freezer stash early on. Am I better off taking all of DD's bottles from that stash until it's exhausted, or is there a benefit to using part breast milk, part formula until it is gone? I asked the nurse at my peds and she suggested using all frozen milk until it's gone, in case we lose power or something and I lose my stash. But I can't help but wonder if it would be more beneficial to try and have DD at least drink some breast milk every day for the antibodies? Or are those not an issue once we freeze anyway?
Thanks in advance!
