I need to get a new pump, I think that mine is finally starting to give out on me! (Its an old version I got from a friend and I think Im the third user) I have a pump in style, and I really like it, but lately havent been getting out half as much as I used to. Granted we are almost exclusevily nursing (YEAH!) but I still need the bottles for when we are out etc. Anyhow...where is a good place to get one as cheap as possible?

this may be a long shot, but a couple years ago (summer of 2002 after babyboy#1 was born) i almost bought one from a nurse or lactation specialist on e-bay. she had medela and aveda, they were brand new, and the prices were the best i could find. of course, i didn't end up buying one and haven't checked back since, but if you do a search you may find her. in her ad, she gives you her phone number so you can call with bf-ing questions, etc., and seemed really nice, and answered all of my questions.

and, you may want to consider renting a big one, if you won't need it all that long (i just got wonderful advice from two people on that subject, and that is what i am going to do) plus, since you have the tubing already, you won't have to buy that new with the rental.

have you replaced the valves etc? They need to be replaced frequently, and if it has been used all that time with the same valves, that could be the problem.

I have a Ameda Purely Yours (what a dumb name that is for a breastpump, I just realized) and I got it from http://www.bio-monitors.net which was the cheapest I found after an afternoon of websearching.

Congrats on the almost exclusively nursing :)

I have a Medela Pump in Style (Original, not the Traveler style) I got it from www.breast-pump.com. I believe it was $189 or $199. That is a huge savings considering that BRU sells is for $289. Also, it was brand new, right out of the box. The shipping is free too.

I got mine from www.kidalog.com. They're in Alberta so it took about a week or so for shipping, but they were cheap for my PIS Traveller. I spent about 190, they've got it for $200 now. The original is $189.

You can get brand new pump off e-Bay for much cheaper than any online stores.
I got the PIS advanced (latest version) for $230 including shipping. Many sellers sell brand new sealed pump there.

Not sure how often you pump, but if it is just for occasional bottles out, how about the Avent Isis? It runs about $45 at Target, and last I checked, www.babycatalog.com had it for about $35.
