Am I nursing enough?

DD is 8 1/2 months and she is down to nursing 4 times a day. Is this too little? she started solids very slowly at around 5 months. she has like 2 meals a day sometimes 3 but it's never a lot. she sleeps through the night and does not seem to complain. I'm just concerned if she's getting all her nutrients for the day by nursing only 4 times. Can anyone give some insight? thanks.

We were at about 4 nursings/day at 8.5 months. It's not necessarily the number of times she nurses, but how much she takes in each time. As long as she is gaining weight and producing enough wet and dirty diapers, I'm sure that she is fine.

I agree with Lori. I'm sure your baby has gotten very efficient at nursing and can take in a lot more at each feeding. In addition, I'm sure she's busy when she's awake, so she might not want to slow down as much to nurse. You're lucky she's sleeping through the night and it's sounds like she's eating well too.
