My 10 month old DS won't drink water. We've tried 3 kinds of sippy cups. I've added apple juice, grape juice, and even prune juice!! I've added ice cubes to make it a 'rattle'. That didn't work, either. Any suggestions?

Kayla never drank it either and I've posted the same question. I've been told that if BF, she is getting enough liquids that way. Also, if FF you mix the formula with however many of ounces of water so they are getting liquids that way too.

we introduced water at 5 months and it was the only thing he ever got besides breastmilk. he now gets breastmilk, soymilk and water. it is just what he knows. he didn't take it right away in the beginning. so hang in there. and i would say don't add juice. then he STILL won't drink water because he will actually be drinking juice. and he may have a really hard time drinking plain water after having water with sugar in it.

Try heating it for 10 or 15 seconds, then shake it so the heat is mixed in.

Try a regular cup instead of a sippy. Abigail thought that was so cool that she would down whatever I gave her, at least for the first few months.
