My DS is little past 10 month and pretty much likes Gerber jars. I do not know why he doesn't like anything that I try to make at home, except mixed fruits(about 4 differnt kind at least) mixed with yogurt and cereal in the morning.

I steamed squash, yellow squash, broccoli, carrots, potatos, sweet potatos etc, he wouln't take it even though he will take Gerber mixed vegetables.

I am not using any salt at this point but some suggeted that I should a bit...I am not so sure.

Other question is, I found myself mixing as many vegetables or fruits per serving when I make solid at home, hoping that he will take variety of nutrition out of them.

I am not sure whether it's better to give one item or mixed item since at this age, the solid food is more of sample tasting and breast milk or formula should be their main nutrition factor.

Different books tell you different thing and I am bit confused...

Thank you.
