Just curious as to how many teeth everyone's babies got at what point? DD is 11 months old and she's got nearly 8 teeth now. They are all in front and now she keeps putting her fingers in the back of her mouth like she might be getting molars. Is this possible? I thought molars were at 2 years or something?

DD is nine months and a week. She's got her two bottom teeth which are about halfway in. She's also getting in her left eye tooth and starting to get her left front. I don't know why the eye tooth came in before the front ones. It looks a bit funny and she is kind of lopsided.

BTW, DD has always had an interest in chewing things, like my finger, with the back of her mouth. That always seemed funny to me since her teeth are coming in up front, but that's what she does.

Aine is 9 months exactly and has 5 1/2 teeth, maybe 6. (Haven't checked to see is that teasing tooth is finally in today).

Two on bottom, 4 on top. She also got the eye teeth first. She's a vampire. :)

DD is 15 mos and has 8 teeth (4 on top, 4 on bottom).
She's been gnawing her fingers like crazy for the last few weeks, so I'm just waiting for her molars to appear (and end some of our misery).

I always kid that there must be some yummy flavoring in her fingers, since she's always like gnawing on them.

DD will be 9 mnths this week and she's still toothless! i am pretty sure she'll be getting one soon because it seems like she has a couple whiteish spots on her bottom gum, and she's been fussier than usual. we'll see though-- she's been drooling and chewing like crazy since CHRISTMAS!!

Anyone heard of a year old getting molars? Someone mentioned 1 year molars and then two year molars as being different things. Has anyone else heard of this? None of the babies in my family had any teeth until way past a year so I have nothing to go by!

10 months today. 2 bottom, 4 top. The bottom ones are showing about 1/2 way, and the top ones are showing about a millimeter or so. The bottom two came in one at a time. The top four came almost all at once! The last of those 4 is giving DS a little trouble, though, unless #7 is on its way and I don't know about it!

8 fully in
4 molars partially in
4 eye teeth all broke the skin the same day

Around 9 months is when the molars started for us.

Think this is why I have a bad sleeper? He has been teething since he was 4 mos old. Always something coming in. I think he would have loved raw hide going back to 4 mos.

Last weekend he is holding in a ton of drool. Could it be his 2 year molars?

Jude is an early teether. His friends at 1 year had 2-4 teeth.

I've got one of the slow ones. A year old this coming Monday and just working on his fourth tooth - the bottom two middle and the top two next to the middle (another vampire here!)

Front bottom two around 6 mths.
Top front two around 9 mths
Two more top teeth around 10 mths.
Just got another bottom one, but still waiting on others anyday now we're pretty sure.

At 7 months and 3 weeks DS has 6 teeth (Top-4, Bottom-2). It's beginning to look like another one may be on it's way on top.

Ellen is 13 months old and has 2 bottom teeth all the way in. She has 2 on the top that are slowly coming in. And another top one has just peeked out.

There are the one year molars and the two year molars. DD got her one year molars right around 12 months. At 1 1/2 she has 16 teeth - the 8 in front, 4 eye teeth and 4 molars. Those eye teeth were horrible when in came to teething

DD is 4 months and has 2 teeth (the bottom two) which came in on successive days when she was 14 weeks. She then spent two more weeks behaving like she was actively teething, but no teeth showed up. She's positively vicious; she can get your hand into her mouth while you're not looking in order to chomp on your fingernail.

So glad to see this thread I've been wondering what is "normal", DD is 13 months and now has 4 top, 4 bottom and 4 molars (2 on top, 2 on bottom). She started getting teeth at 5 months and has never stopped. We never know when she's teething as she doesn't drool or fuss, we're so lucky. Unfortunately she bumped her head (DH was supposed to be watching her but he left the front door open) and chipped her top tooth- I guess this will happen....and daddy has learned how fast babies crawl!

DD turns 10 months tomorrow, and she's had 8 teeth for a month now. Started getting them in at about 5-1/2 months, and gets them in twos. A friend is the same age and still toothless. I think it is just completely variable. But it is nice to see a big toothy grin!

DD's drool turned on again last week, but I think it is due to a cold and not teething.

Zip. Zero. Nada. NO TEETH at 12 MONTHS!!! Apparently, I was like this as well. So I peer into his mouth EVERY day looking for signs of teeth....if i was nursing still this would be a god send but since I am not I must admit I am hoping he gets some soon...

Sammy has 8 teeth now at 11 months, at least I think only 8, he won't let me look in his mouth anymore! And I think he's working on some molars now, at least there is something going on in his mouth that causes him to wake up screaming and chewing on his hand, so I think it's molars. He started teething at around 5-6 mo.

bottom front two came in at 7 months
top right middle and tooth to the right of it broke through about 2 weeks ago
last night we noticed the top left middle and tooth to left are just breaking through. Fever today, FUSSY and diaper rash that ALMOST cleared up are back! Classic DD teething signs.
I'm not thrilled to hear about 1 year molars! :( Great!

At 16 months, DD has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth fully in, and is working on her first two bottom molars. She has a few others (top and bottom) that keep just barely showing in her gum and then they'll disappear for a week or two--they've been doing that for months.

My son had 8 teeth at 12 months, and still that is all he has at 15 months.

Here is the "schedule" of when teeth typically appear-
Central incisors----- upper 6-8 months lower 5-7 months
Lateral incisors----- upper 8-11 months lower 7-10 months
Cuspids (canines)---- upper 16-20 months lower 16-20 months
First molars---- upper 10-16 months lower 10-16 months
Second molars----- upper 20-30 months lower 20-30 months

Sophie's three days short of 19m. She has 16 teeth (at last count!). Four front tops, four front bottoms, four molars and four eyeteeth.

She's had those molars for about 3 months...

Jen - Charlie was an early teether too! I often use that as the reason why he was such a terrible sleeper!!

I hate to admit it.....but more than once we've caught Charlie chewing on our dog's rawhide. No matter where we hide it, he always finds it.....

Fun topic!

Santiago has 2 bottom front and his 2 top front teeth are coming in (just poked through the gums last week).

I swear that he started teething at about 2.5 or 3 months - lots of drool and biting. He got his first tooth (bottom front) at 5.5 months, the second came a week later. His top front teeth are coming in at the same time.

My DD is almost 11 months and has 8 teeth (4 on top, 4 on the bottom). She cut her first teeth just shy of 6 months and had popped all of the other teeth by the time she was 8 months. They do get first year molars; I am dreading that!

http://www.anbesol.com/teething/chart.asp The chart has estimates on which teeth come in on which month. Obviously many children don't get teeth as early as listed on the chart nor do teeth always come in in the order listed so not everyone's child is going to match exactly but it will give you an idea.

Luke has 8 teeth at 12 months, he got his first pair at about 8 months
