DD is now on whole milk. We are working on sippy, but mostly we give it to her in a bottle. Do you warm the milk? DH and I keep going back and forth on this one. I feel dumb asking, but are we supposed to warm it?

Will she take it cold? I would personally encourage her to take it cold because that is how whole milk is most readily available. Colin has been taking cold bottles since the beginning - he always took his EBM cold.

Nope, no need to warm it unless you think it's the only way your child will take it, I guess. I think the only reason milk is warmed for younger babies is that it goes down easier (and maybe is easier on their little tummies). But at 1 year, she should be fine with it cold.

I only warmed it during the transition. He takes it cold now no problem, and I think that saves me a lot of angst when out and about. My best friend's oldest (3.5) will only take it warm, which is a huge PITB.

I still warm my DD's a little (about 20 seconds in the microwave for an 8 ounce bottle). She will take it "cool" but not cold yet, bottle or sippy. We're working on it. ;)

Nope. We don't. And as others mentioned, if she'll take it cold, it'll be more normalizing, since that is how milk is going to be available if you have to pick up a small container at a store or in a restaurant.

My IL's were shocked that DS only drinks cold milk during the day. But I do warm his first glass of milk for breakfast.

Toby gets it right from the fridge. If you are having trouble with the sippy, try the "disposible" ones by First Years or try a straw cup. If took a little learning (1 day) but Toby took right to the straw cups just after 1 year.
